    West Lake, Poetic Beauty

Brilliant urban charm and elegant garden charm

The Window of China, led by Shanghai, connects Suzhou and Hangzhou, forming the most poetic and luxurious golden triangle in Jiangnan. This is the best window for the world to observe China - a dialogue between the skyline of Lujiazui on the banks of the Huangpu River and the international architectural complex on the Bund, the soft language of Suzhou Pingtan resonating with the winding paths of Humble Administrator's Garden, and the shadow of Leifeng Pagoda on West Lake dancing with the morning mist of Longjing Tea Garden.

The neon lights on Nanjing Road in Shanghai twinkle, the bluestone slabs on Pingjiang Road in Suzhou remain silent, and the ancient charm of Hefang Street in Hangzhou lingers. From the water town boat banquet in Zhujiajiao to the water longitude and latitude in Wuzhen, from the Shuangqiao Bridge in Zhouzhuang to the star track in Qiandao Lake, every frame is a flowing picture of Jiangnan.

Our itinerary includes both a fantastic journey in the Shanghai Magic City skyscraper and a morning mist stroll through Suzhou gardens; There are both tea picking experiences at Longjing Tea Mountain in Hangzhou and night boat songs on the Grand Canal. Here, tradition and modernity are not contradictory, but the most beautiful harmony.

Luxury accommodation in this area

There are many incredible places to stay. Here are some of our favorite campsites and hotels carefully selected by our travel designers:

  • Near by Shanghai Happy Valley

The hotel was designed by Martin Yorkman's team, with the theme of "Journey to the Center of the Earth". It integrates natural ecology with industrial aesthetics - the exposed rock texture on the cliff, the water curtain landscape of waterfalls cascading down, and the architectural details in the style of caves, all of which together form an immersive experience of "Mine and Italian Aesthetics". The 3D projection water screen in the center of the lobby interweaves with the light and shadow of the outdoor cliff waterfall, creating a visual wonder of the interplay of reality and illusion, and is hailed as "a hotel growing in nature".
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel consists of two buildings - the historic main building and the modern tower. The exterior facade of the buildings blends British classicism and Baroque elements, with arched gates, Ionic columns and a 34-meter-long black and white marble corridor bar (once known as the "No. 1 Bar in the Far East") perfectly recreating the glory of a hundred years ago. The interior was designed by Japanese architect Kikutaro Shimoda. Blending decorative art with contemporary luxury, Swarovski crystal chandeliers and hand-painted murals interweave to create an immersive experience of "a new scene at every step".
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel was designed by G.A. Design with the concept of "Flowing Light and Colorful Splendor", integrating Shanghai-style cultural symbols with modern trend elements. The exterior facade is outlined with modern lines, while the interior creates a collision of historical charm and futurism through large color blocks of red, orange and blue, reconstruction of Shikumen elements and light and shadow art installations. The 42-storey building houses 374 guest rooms, all equipped with panoramic floor-to-ceiling Windows offering direct views of the Huangpu River and the skyline of Lujiazui. The interior decoration details inspired by the old Shanghai sauce gardens and the bold use of colors interpret the dual charm of "tradition and avant-garde".
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel design is led by renowned writer Lu Haiyan, integrating new Chinese style with modern fashion. The new Chinese-style guest rooms interpret the charm of Jiangnan with relief wallpaper featuring pavilions and terraces, sofa fabric with dragon patterns, and hand-blown glass floral bedside ornaments. The modern and fashionable guest rooms feature magnolia crystal glass, wire-reinforced glass and beige calfskin wall panels, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship. The 165 guest rooms and suites range in size from 61 to 380 square meters and are distributed on the 86th to 98th floors. Each room is equipped with an intelligent temperature control system, Italian Frette bedding and panoramic floor-to-ceiling Windows. Some room types offer a view of the Huangpu River, the Bund or the skyline of Lujiazui.
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel was designed by Italian architect Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, deeply integrating the brilliant aesthetics of Bvlgari jewelry with the Shanghai-style culture of Shanghai. The exterior facade is composed of Venetian Murano glass and Calamari gold marble, resembling a jewelry box by the Huangpu River, and is even more dazzling when the lights are turned on at night. The 2,000-piece hand-blown glass chandeliers hanging from the lobby dome, inspired by Bulgari's antique jewelry, have become the visual focus of "a new scene at every step".
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel was transformed from the Shikumen architectural complex of the 1930s. It fully retains Shanghai-style elements such as plain red bricks, horse-head gable walls, and semi-circular arched dooropenings. The exterior facade adopts the original restoration process, while the interior was designed by the late design master Jaya Ibrahim, integrating Chinese rattan screens, French walnut furniture and marble bathrooms. Create an immersive atmosphere where the old and new times interweave.
