Beautiful landscape paintings and profound cultural heritage

Southeast China, including parts of Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces, is the poetry and distant scenery of Jiangnan. The Danxia landform of Mount Wuyi in Fujian, the clouds and mist of Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi, the scenic spots of the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and the strange pines and rocks of Mount Huangshan Mountain in Anhui constitute a flowing landscape. The white walls, black tiles, small bridges, and flowing water here conceal the most elegant nostalgia of China.

From the enclosure wisdom of the Earthen Building in Fujian Province to the moon marsh spring dawn in Hongcun, Anhui, from the rape flower sea in Wuyuan, Jiangxi, to the water pavilion lights in Wuzhen, Zhejiang, every place is imbued with the pastoral poetry of "picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence". The four treasures of Huimo Sheyan in the study, as well as the millennium old inheritance of Xuan paper and Xuan pen, have added cultural depth.

Our itinerary planning can not only climb Mount Huangshan Mountain to watch the sunrise, but also take a boat to visit the West Lake and taste Longjing; You can visit the porcelain capital of Jingdezhen to explore ancient times, or stroll along the ancient roads of Huizhou to find secluded places. Here, every step is a walking Tang and Song poem, and every glance is a frozen meticulous landscape.

Highlights

  • Wuyi Mountain's misty peaks rise.
  • Tulou clusters nestle in Fujian hills.
  • Huangshan's sea of clouds drifts dreamily.
  • Jingdezhen's pottery kilns shape history.
  • Xidi Village's Ming-era lanes whisper stories
  • Qiandao Lake's islands glint emerald green

In southeastern China, the four provinces of Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Anhui are slowly unfolding like four ink scrolls: Fujian, with its "Garden of the Sea" Xiamen and Wuyi Danxia shining together, and Hakka Tulou and Mazu culture telling the story of maritime civilization; Jiangxi, led by Wuyuan, known as the "most beautiful countryside in China", has created landscape poetry and paintings with the combination of Lushan Yunwu, Sanqing Xianfeng, and Jingdezhen Porcelain Charm; Zhejiang is based on the misty rain of West Lake and the unique scenery of Yandang, weaving a gentle dream with the ancient charm of the Grand Canal and the water towns of Jiangnan; Taking advantage of the Anhui style of Mount Huangshan Cloud Sea and Xidi Hongcun, Anhui integrates the ink painting artistic conception with Xin'anjiang Gallery, and the four provinces together present the perfect symphony of oriental aesthetics and natural wonders.

Luxury accommodation in this area

There are many incredible places to stay. Here are some of our favorite campsites and hotels carefully selected by our travel designers:

  • Near by The Bund

As the 30th Aman hotel in the world, the project took 16 years and cost 3.3 billion yuan. It relocated 50 ancient residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties and 10,000 ancient camphor trees from Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province over a distance of 800 kilometers. It was designed by Pritzker Prize winner Kerry Hill, integrating Huizhou-style architectural elements with modern minimalist aesthetics, creating a spatio-temporal dialogue of "rebirth of ancient residences".
  • Near by The Forbidden City

The hotel was created by international design masters by integrating elements of Ming and Qing imperial architecture with modern minimalist aesthetics. The blue tiles, upturned eaves and glass curtain walls complement each other, inheriting the imperial grandeur of the red walls and yellow tiles of the Forbidden City while connecting the courtyards with streamlined covered Bridges, creating a garden atmosphere of "a new scene at every step", allowing guests to experience the luxurious abode of Oriental elegance in the heart of the city. All 57 guest rooms and suites are equipped with custom rosewood furniture, cloisonne decorative items and intelligent temperature control systems. Some room types feature private courtyards or viewing terraces, offering direct views of the red walls of the Forbidden City or the bamboo scenery in the courtyards. The bathroom is paved with Italian marble and is equipped with a double jacuzzi and a separate shower head, complemented by exclusive amenities from Mandarin Oriental, creating an immersive Oriental bathing experience.

The sunrise in winter is particularly famous.
