Days 1-5
Stepping into Chengdu is like embarking on a wonderful adventure that transcends time and space.Come to People's Park and experience the essence of "Slow Chengdu". Sitting lazily on a bamboo chair, sipping jasmine tea from a bowl or cup, eavesdropping on the locals' casual chats, admiring the exquisite skills of the ear pickers, and experiencing the unique "non-action" art of Sichuan. The night cruise along the Jinjiang River is a fantastical journey through the digital Tang Dynasty. The neon-lit water theater, holographic dancers, shining ancient pavilions and terraces, and the river that looks like a 360-degree cinema make people feel as if they were in a fantasy RPG game of the dynasty.
The wild side of Chengdu is fully displayed in Panda Valley and Yangtianwo. Interact with the chubby "giant pandas" up close than through Instagram filters, watch them gnaw on bamboo from one meter away, take a photo with the world's only giant panda sculpture in Yangtianwo, and become their new "bodyguard".
Jiuzhaigou is a masterpiece of nature. Strolling through it feels like entering a geological fairy tale. Earthquakes and glaciers have shaped 108 emerald green lakes, with calcium carbonate and algae blending to create a liquid rainbow-like color. Visit Zharu Village, taste butter tea, spin the huge prayer wheel with the locals, and learn about the sacred status of "Laka" (the sacred mountain) in the hearts of the Tibetans. Put on a hand-embroidered robe, wear a silver "Gahu" waist knife, take photos by the wuhua lake, participate in the 糌粑 (roasted barley flour) DIY experience, and feel the unique beauty of different seasons.
Days 6-9
Chongqing, a city brimming with the vitality of daily life and the charm of fantasy. In the ancient town of Ciqikou, both sides of the bluestone steps are lined with Chen Mahua shops, and there is always a long queue in front of Chen Changyin Mahua. Entering the "Longyin Bamboo Art Workshop", one can watch the bamboo weaving artisans split the bamboo strips. The thin bamboo threads, as fine as hair, are transformed into exquisite patterns of auspicious dragons and phoenixes in the artisans' hands.
Taking the Yangtze River Cableway is like taking an "air bus". The moment the sedan car broke through the river mist, the buildings on both banks were like a "forest of building blocks". I captured this stunning moment with the wide-angle mode of my mobile phone. Take pictures with tourists from other places in the cable car and capture their interesting expressions when they see the river view beneath their feet.
Wulong Tiankeng and Difeng are a feast of mental adventure. In the crevices of Longshui Gorge, put on anti-slip shoes and stroll through the narrow passage. Looking up, you can only see a narrow line of sky, and the water droplets on the stalactites make a pleasant sound like the chirping of birds in the empty mountains. Natural Three Bridges, search for the filming location of "Transformers 4", shout loudly under the stone bridge, and experience the sound effects like those in a martial arts film. Ask the shepherds for grasshoppers made of grass and watch them quickly weave exquisite handicrafts with horsetail grass.
